A classic knitted jumper with a cosy turtleneck collar, designed especially for the 55 cm and 30 cm EFI Friends collection.

The basic pattern creates a plain jumper, but you can also use it as a base for stripes, colourwork and other variations.

The finished jumper is sized to fit both EFI Friends ranges.

About the Pattern

This digital knitting pattern allows you to make a basic turtleneck jumper for your EFI Friends toys.

The pattern is written in row-by-row format and includes a full English description of the knitting process.

The main instructions are for the plain jumper shown in the product photos. Other photos are included for inspiration and styling ideas.

Design Details

The back of the jumper features polo-style button plackets on both sides.

One side includes buttonholes, and when the body of the jumper is joined in the round, the buttonhole placket overlaps the other side where the buttons are attached.

This opening makes dressing and undressing the toys much easier, as the construction of the EFI Friends toys requires a wider neckline opening.

Safety note: If the finished toy is intended for a child, please use buttons safely and securely and follow relevant toy-safety guidance. Avoid small buttons on toys intended for children under 3.

Yarn & Materials

The jumper is designed for yarn measuring approximately 175 m per 50 g.

The samples shown were knitted using DROPS Merino wool.

You will need approximately:

• 1 ball for the 55 cm size
• ½ ball for the 30 cm size

You can knit the jumper in one solid colour or experiment with stripes and other colour combinations.

Bonus Design Ideas

The pattern works beautifully as a base for different looks.

Polo sweater hack:
Wear the jumper back-to-front and add decorative buttons to create a completely different polo-style look.

A Rudolf the Red Nose knitting chart is also included as a bonus for inspiration.

Please note that the Rudolf chart is supplied as an optional extra and does not include a detailed colourwork tutorial.
