Meet the Not Just Halloween Buddies — a collection of approx. 33 cm soft dolls built around one versatile basic buddy body.

Start with the same doll body, then turn it into a Halloween character, a Christmas Buddy, a Toadstool Buddy — or simply use the basic body as a starting point for your own doll or little creature.

Every option includes the basic buddy body pattern and full body-making tutorial. The difference is which additional character patterns and tutorials are included.

Halloween Buddies Only — £9.00
Includes the basic buddy body pattern/tutorial plus the Halloween character pieces and instructions to create the Halloween gang, including Bat, Cat, Pumpkin and Ghost Buddies.

Christmas Buddies Only — £9.00
Includes the basic buddy body pattern/tutorial plus the Christmas patterns and instructions to create Pixie / Elf and Gingerbread Buddies, including the Pixie hat, cap and trousers.

Halloween + Christmas Buddies — £10.50
Includes the basic buddy body pattern/tutorial plus both the Halloween and Christmas collections.

Halloween + Toadstool Buddies — £10.50
Includes the complete Halloween Buddies set plus the additional Toadstool Buddy patterns and tutorial.

The Basic Buddy Body

The basic pattern creates an approx. 33 cm soft doll which sits independently.

Once you have made the body, you can finish it in many different ways — add hair and clothes, turn it into your own character or animal, or use the additional pattern pieces included in your chosen variant to create one of the EFI Little Things seasonal Buddies.

The basic body tutorial includes:

• PDF sewing pattern
• Detailed step-by-step PDF tutorial
• Over 100 colour process photos
• Supporting videos showing important stages of construction
• Useful guidance on stuffing and shaping the toy

Halloween Buddies

The Halloween collection uses the basic Buddy body and includes additional pattern pieces and tutorials for creating characters such as:

• Bat Buddy
• Cat Buddy
• Pumpkin Buddy
• Ghost Buddy

Additional pieces include character details such as bat wings and ears, cat features, pumpkin stalks and other seasonal elements.

The tutorial also includes guidance for creating facial features.

Christmas Buddies

The Christmas collection uses the same basic Buddy body and includes the additional patterns needed to create:

• Pixie / Elf Buddy
• Gingerbread Buddy

Additional patterns include:

• Pixie hat
• Cap
• Trousers

Supporting tutorials are included for the Christmas character details.

Toadstool Buddy

The Toadstool Buddy is an additional character design made using the same basic Buddy body.

The Toadstool content includes:

• PDF sewing pattern for the toadstool hat
• PDF sewing pattern for the moss cape
• Step-by-step video tutorial for making the hat and cape

The cape pattern can also be used with other Halloween or Christmas Buddies.

The ruffle collar shown in some photographs is not included in this tutorial, but a free video showing how I make it is available on my Instagram.

As a little bonus, the Toadstool hat can also fit many 55 cm EFI Friends, particularly characters without antlers or very large ears.

You will need a basic domestic sewing machine.

The patterns, written tutorials and accompanying instructions are provided in English only.

Pattern pieces are designed to be printed on A4 or US Letter paper.

Print at:

100% / Actual Size

Do not use “Fit to Page”.

For the photo-rich tutorials, I recommend viewing the instructions on your phone, tablet or computer rather than printing every tutorial page.

Additional Details

Some accessories shown in the photographs — including knitted scarves, bows and ruffle collars — are not included as sewing patterns in this collection.

Your digital files will be available to download after purchase.

Depending on the variant selected, your download will contain the relevant PDF patterns, written tutorial and/or links to supporting video tutorials.

You may not create reels, videos, social media posts, stories, classes or other tutorials demonstrating the pattern pieces or sewing steps from this tutorial to complete EFI Little Things toys.

You are welcome to share photographs or videos of your finished Buddies and outfits made using these patterns, crediting EFI Little Things as the pattern designer.

Finished toys made from these patterns may be sold on a small handmade scale. Commercial or mass production is not permitted, and credit must be given to EFI Little Things for the design.
